KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoIA) on Wednesday expressed readiness to ensure foolproof security for Eid-ul-Fitre.
Officials of the MoIA along with the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC), and Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) told journalists that plans are chalked to ensure peace and stability on this important occasion. Najib Danish, spokesman for the MoIA, told journalists on the occasion that all units of the security forces are on same page for a security plan in this regard.
He added police chiefs across the country have been directed to keep tight security, and even not allow anyone shoot celebratory fires. Danish noted the display and sale of toy guns are also banned.
Kamal Saadat, director for the MoIC, said on the occasion that parents and elders should play their due role in discouraging children from buying and playing with toy guns as it leaves negative impacts on them and the society. Fida Mohammad, director for MoPH, said health directorates across the country have been informed to provide best services to citizens in need. He requested the citizens, particularly those driving on the main highways and inner city roads to take extra care in preventing accidents.
