KABUL (SW): The new compound of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Wednesday came under armed assault.
Najib Danish, spokesman for the MoI, confirmed the attackers wished to enter the compound after an initial blast.
The heavily guarded MoI is located on the main airport road in the east of the capital Kabul.
