KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced to award prize to those who provide useful information relating to the Taliban and other local or foreign militants in northern Kunduz province.
Siddiq Siddiqui, the MoI Spokesman told journalists in Kabul that the informer would be awarded cash prize and his/ her identity would be kept undisclosed. He added the objectives behind this move were to flush-out rebels from Kunduz and ensure people’s safety there.
On his occasion, the MoI Spokesman added that a number of notorious prisoners from various provinces have been shifted to the capital Kabul.
He claimed the Ministry had information about the militants attacking prisons in various provinces in a bid to take away their imprisoned fellows.
A number of prison breaks have led to the escape of scores of rebels lately. Last month, some 355 militants escape central prison in Ghazni province after a militant attack. Similarly, a number of rebels flee the Kunduz central prison following similar attack.
