MAIMANA (SW) – Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Advisor, on Wednesday vowed a comprehensive security strategy for northern parts of the country has been devised.
He said this addressing a gathering in Maymana, capital of Faryab province during an official trip. He told the gathering that the government is committed to perform its duty of bringing peace and stability. “… but, (government) demands the support of people against an enemy that serves the interests of others by killing our people and destroying our schools, hospitals, roads and bridges”, said the statement issued by the NSA’s office.
Mohib visited a number of northern provinces to assess the security situation and local governance and hold separate meetings with Vice President Abdul Rahseed Dostum, and other community leaders for consultations.
