KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Higher Education vowed to have taken necessary measures towards holding transparent university entrance exams “Kanokr” this year.

It claims that based on a new plan of action, this year’s exams would be much fair and transparent.

Ahmad Jawed Rasuli, Head of Public Administration at the Entrance Exam Committee told Salam Watandar that this year, the entrance exams’ papers would have no repetitive questions. He added that the result of the questionnaires would go through a machine-check process, which ensures maximum transparency.

The officials added that the new system has been successfully tested in 23 provinces where students have taken the entrance exam without any problem. The entrance exam will be held in Kabul next month. Before the new system was applied, the entrance exam always caused concerns over fraud and distortion. The participants have always complained about the rampant corruption in the process once the results are announced.

It is worth mentioning that each year more than 350 thousands students will participate at the entrance exam among whom only 55,000 participants can make it to the university.
