KABUL (SW): Helping Afghanistan make history against Zimbabwe, a full member of the International Cricket Council, all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is all set to shine again next month in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Nabi was promoted to bat up at no.3 in the batting order in landmark 5-matches One Day International series against Zimbabwe.
The former captain proved his mettle by scoring his maiden hundred followed by a half-century in the final match of the series.
He was crowned as the Man of the Series for his 223 runs and 2 wickets in five matches. Afghanistan won the ODI series 2-3.
Mohammad Nabi would join 81 other players to feature in the 6-teams gala in Bangladesh next month. He is one among 19 foreign players picked for this event. The Afghan all-rounder would play for Rangpur Riders against a contract worth $ 30, 000. Samiullah Shinwari and Dawlat Zadran were also fielded for the auction but they were not selected by any team.
This is the second time MN would play in the BPL that would start from 21 November.
International stars like Chris Gayle, Brendan Taylor, Shahid Afridi, Kumar Sangakara, Umer Akmal, Lendl Simmons, Darren Sammy, Thisara Perera and others would also feature in the event.
