MoE unveils National Educational Strategic Plan III

KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Education (MoE) unveiled National Educational Strategic Plan III worth 3 million dollars here in Kabul on Sunday.

The MoE authorities said on the occasion that this is a 5-year strategy which aims at quality, access and transparent administration of education in the country.

Mohammad Ibrahim Shinwari, the Deputy of Minister of Education, stated that with the implementation of this strategy, 2.4 million children will be enrolled in schools, 58 million books will be printed, 14,500 classes will be constructed, and 100,000 teachers and 15,000 school administrators will receive technical training.

Based on this strategy, within 5 years, 2,500 will be equipped with new facilities. 500 thousand students will get an education and 74 thousand students will graduate from the education programs of the Ministry.

The Deputy Minister added that the number of educators will increase to 300 thousand and there will be 12 million students in the country within 5 years.

On the other hand, the authorities stated that 1007 schools are closed due to insecurity in the country while 48 percent of schools do not have buildings.
