KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Defense (MoD) has confirmed civilian casualties in a security operation in the Chahar Dara district of Kunduz province.
In a statement, the MoD noted that a delegation to probe the incident has been dispatched for Kunduz. It acknowledged ten civilians are among the casualties.
A day earlier, Mohammad Nusrat, member of the provincial council, informed Salam Watandar an air strike took place in the Chahar Dara district in which 13 members of a family got killed and six more got wounded. Zalmay Farooqi, district governor, also confirmed the air raid, but did not share details about the casualties.
