Speaking on the occasion, the minister said this move would provide opportunities for people in these five provinces to uplift skills, promote local products and access markets.

The minister said up to six thousand people would directly benefit from these projects and up to 12 thousand people would benefit indirectly from these projects in the fields of handicrafts, carpet weaving and agriculture.

Up to 65 per cent participation has been ensured in these projects for women. The projects would be executed in coming six months in different phases.
