MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – A military helicopter crash-landed after taking off in Balkh province, an official informed on Sunday.
Mohammad Haneef Rezaey, spokesman for the 209-Shaheen Corps, informed Salam Watandar the helicopter developed a technical issue in its wings minutes after it took off forcing the crash-landing. He informed the MAG-M14 helicopter was supposed to transport soldiers to Faryab province.
Three people have been rescued from the helicopter, he informed, adding efforts were underway to rescue more victims of the accident.
