KABUL (SW) – A lady doctor in Kabul claims to have developed herbal medicine that can cure heart attack, stroke and epilepsy.

Dr. Gul Sanam of a private clinic in Kabul, claims the herbal medicine she has developed can completely cure heart attack, stroke and epilepsy. She said other medicines have only 40 per cent positive results in this regard. Dr. Sanam claimed the medicine she has developed has no side effects.

The developer of this medicine went on to say the Ministry of Public Health is not ready to register this medicine.

One of her patients, Mohammad Anwar Khosti, said one of his heart valves blocked following an attack, and he travelled to Pakistan as well for treatment, but he only got well with the treatment offered by Dr. Gul Sanam. This patient said he consumed this particular medicine for 20 days and got better.

The MoPH said it was not aware about any such development.

Waheedullah Mayar, spokesman for the MoPH, told Salam Watandar no one has contacted them to register this medicine. He said the MoPH can only register a medicine after the approval of the National Medicine Regulatory Organization.

The said private clinic has been treating patients for the past ten years.
