KABUL (SW): Ahmad Yama Torabi, the commissioner for the Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC) has stated that the MEC is not satisfied with scope of anti-corruption activities at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
He noted that MEC has closely monitored the scope of anti-corruption activities at the MoPH. Yama went on to say that though three months ago, the MoPH was mandated to draft its anti-corruption policy, but the ministry has not finalized it yet.
In reply to the MEC's remarks, officials at the Ministry of Public Health, have stated that they would respond to it after going through the report published by the Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.
The Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC) independently monitors and evaluates national and international efforts to fight corruption in Afghanistan. It reports to the public, Parliament, President, and international community.
