KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has vowed to investigate the reported removal of a kidney from a boy at a Kabul orphanage.
For the past some days, viral social media posts suggest the head of orphanage in the Teh-e-Maskan area, Dr. Ahmad Faizan Kakar has allegedly removed a kidney of the boy named Ali. However, Eshrat Ahmadzai, spokesman for the MoLSA, has rejected these allegations.
He added the kidney of this boy was already removed in 2016 at the Kabul Emergency Hospital by an Italian doctor when it failed functioning.
The deputy minister at the MoLSA, Ghulam Haider Jilani also visited a private clinic along with the representatives from the Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Interior and found out that both of the kidneys of the boy are intact. He said the matter has been further probed after these medical reports at the interior ministry.
