QALA-I-NAW (SW): A man hanged has his pregnant wife to death in Badghis for allegedly visiting her parents’ home without his permission.
Provincial authorities have said the incident took place in Balmis village of Qades district. Baha-u-Din Qadesi, provincial council member, told Salam Watandar the victim was 30-year-old, and has left 4 children behind.
Zahir Bahan, provincial governor’s spokesman, while confirming the incident told SW the woman was hanged late in the evening. “The victim’s husband is absconding from the scene of the crime, but efforts are under way to apprehend him”, added Bahan.
