KABUL (SW) – Renowned musician of the Afghan classical music, Ustad (Master) Ulfat Ahang, has been honored with a top official medal by President Ashraf Ghani.
The living legend was presented with the Ghazni Mir Masjidi Khan state medal in recognition of his commitment and dedication. President Ghani's top adviser Fazel Fazly presented the maestro with the medal and the certificate of appreciation.
Master Ahang hails from a family of musicians dubbed as the pioneers of classical music in Afghanistan influenced by Indian classical music.
