LASHKARGAH/ PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW): The ongoing offensives by the government forces killed a top Daesh commander with his six comrades in Helmand while clashes between various militant fractions have claimed the lives of four civilians in Baghlan province, officials said on Thursday.

Helmand Police Department said Daesh commander Suliman Shah and his fellow militants got killed in the Kajaki district. Mahmood Ashna, spokesman for the police department said the militants attacked a security check post and were killed in retaliation.

It is vital to note the Deash’s black flag in Afghanistan was first hoisted in the very district. Mullah Abdul Khadim was the first top pro-Daesh commander that was killed in a drone strike earlier this year in Helmand province.

Later on July 9, Shahidullah Shahid, another top Daesh commander was killed in similar fashion in the eastern Nangarhar province.
