HERAT CITY (SW): Jailani Farhad, spokesman for the governor in western province Herat, told Salam Watandar that the recent in-fighting between Mullah Mansoor’s supporters and pro Mullah Haibatullah’s men flared up on Monday morning near Adraskan and Pashtun Zarghon districts.
He said reports suggest that 7 men associated to Mullah Haibatullah, new Taliban leader, have been killed and 6 more have been injured so far.
Although the exact number of those who have been killed is not clear yet, but Jailani Farhad said that nearly 110 men commanded by Mullah Niazi, a famous commander linked to Mullah Rasool, have also been killed during the in-fighting.
He added that as the Taliban's in-fighting intensifies, the Taliban will sustain more casualties.
In the meantime, Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, the spokesman for Herat Police, told Salam Watandar that security forces have been dispatched to the area to oppress them.
