KNDAHAR (SW) – Security officials in Kandahar said on Friday a roadside bomb has exploded in the Spin Boldak district of the province killing 13 people.
Confirming the news, police spokesman, Jamal Nasser Barakzai said that five men, five women and three children from the same family got killed in the blast.
The incident took place in the Loy Kariz area of the Spin Boldak district of the province when a civilian vehicle collided with a roadside mine.
The police spokesman blamed the Taliban for the bombing, but no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Two weeks ago, a roadside bomb killed five family members of a local pro-government militia commander, Ghamay Agha.
