KHOST CITY (SW): An inter-province football tournament dubbed as ‘One Voice One Slogan’ has kicked-off in Khost province.
The first match between the Khost B and Uruzgan province teams ended in a draw. Both sides scored one goal each in this encounter.
Abdul Fatah Wakman, interim chief for Khost Football Federation, told Salam Watandar that the tournament kicked-off on Wednesday. He said only one game was played on the first day, but two games would be played daily from now onwards.
The six teams have been divided in two groups of three teams each. Kabul, Maidan Wardak and Paktya are placed in Group A while Group B has Khost, Khost B and Uruzgan provinces. The tournament would conclude in a week’s time in the Khost Football Stadium.
The matches commence at 02:00 pm. On Thursday, Khost A played against Khost B while the second match was scheduled between Paktya and Maidan Wardak teams.
