KABUL (SW): The Afghan capital Kabul is set to host mayors from different cities lying on the ancient Silk Road next week.
Officials at the Kabul Municipality told Salam Watandar preparations are in full swing for this important gathering. Breshna Horia, director public affairs and awareness, informed that the issues faced by the capital city and prospects for growth in ties and trade would be discussed among the participants.
She said one of the main objective of this moot is to showcase the positive and promising face of Kabul to the world. The Kabul Municipality officials informed that up to 200 dignitaries from different countries would attend the 12th meeting of Silk Road cities in Kabul.
Highlighting the significance of this meeting, Breshna Horia further said it would also provide avenue for Afghans to explore business and trade opportunities with officials from different cities lying on the ancient Silk Road.
Iran was the host for the previous meeting of this sort.
