Kabul Municipality launches online permitting system

KABUL (SW): Officials at Kabul Municipality inaugurated an online permitting system for giving permission for construction of buildings on Sunday.

They said on the occasion that the online system would ensure transparency in construction of buildings and could significantly reduce corruption.

Abdullah Habibzai, the acting Mayor for Kabul Municipality, said that the online system would create facility for the citizens and would be a transparent process.

He said that the system has been established so that the applicants could get permission online.

He added that in the past it was a time consuming process which would take almost four years but now with this new system, the process would take only four months.
