KABUL (SW): The Kabul Municipality inked a deal on Monday with the Independent Administrative Reform & Civil Service Commission (IARCSC) for minimizing bureaucratic hurdles in municipality affairs.
The officials noted on the occasion that reforms in land entitlement, fee payments, land expropriation, land distribution for relocation, process of obtaining house and heritage matters have been simplified.
Speaking at the joint press conference, Masihullah Mahbub, the deputy for Civil Service at the Kabul Municipality, noted that the newly brought reforms can help the citizens get their civic matters resolved swiftly. He added that in the past the land entitlement process was taking long time but now with the simplification of bureaucratic procedures it would take less time. Mahbub pointed out that in the past, receiving municipality fee would take up to 14 days but now it would take only 4 days. He went on to say that previously land distribution for relocation would take up to 351 days but now it should take no more than 30 days.
In the meantime, Ahmad Masud Tokhi, the general director for Civil Service Office at the IARCSC, highlighted that it is their top priority to simplify the bureaucratic system in public service departments.
