KABUL (SW): The Kabul Club football team defeated Atlas Club to lift the title of Kabul Women Premier Football League, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) announced on Wednesday.

Syed Ali Kazemi, director media affairs at the AFF, told Salam Watandar that the Kabul Club secured top position after final match against Atlas Club. He said the champion side secured a total of 18 points. The AFF did not notified the goals scored in the final league match.

Following defeat in the final league match, the Atlas Club dropped to the third spot while Aayenda Sazan Club secured the second slot.

The Kabul Women Premier Football League matches kicked-off at the Goal Project Football Stadium last week with eight women’s club taking part in it.

Nelaab Mohammad was crowned as best player of the tournament for the nine goals she scored. The Aayenda Sazan club was awarded with the best team of the league.

Poor performance at the event displayed by the Asmaye and Aashiana clubs relegated them out of the Kabul Women Premier Football League’s next round and into the second division.
