Kabul celebrates International Clients’ Day

KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Commerce and Industries celebrated the International Clients’ Day in a conference today (Tuesday) in Kabul with the slogan of the fair digital market.

The MoCI officials said on the occasion drafting of the law to protect consumer’s rights, establishing the board to hear consumer’s complaints, and the board of appeals on the prevention of non-quality goods in the 10 provinces, are among the most important achievements of the MoCI to protect the consumers in the country.

Feroz Khan Masjidi, deputy Minister of Commerce and Industries, said the aim of this move is to create a fair e-commerce market in the country.

Meanwhile, a number of lawyers said that the implementation of the consumers’ rights law cautions vendors and will help regulate the demand and supply in the market.

Kabir Ranjbar, chairman of the Lawyers Association in Afghanistan, said that with the implementation of this law, consumers will be protected and in the meantime, the vendors will try to import high-quality goods only.

According to the officials at the MoCI, the board to hear consumer’s complaints, and the board of appeals on the prevention of non-quality goods have been established in 10 provinces in the country.
