JAWZJAN (SW) – The Junbish party leaders in Jawzjan province on Sunday vowed to establish a parallel government against the arrest of Nezamuddin Qaisari, commander of a local militia in Faryab province.
On the sixth day of protests against the arrest of Qaisari, the Junbish party members said if their demands for his release and return to the county of the first vice president, Gen. Abdul Rasheed Dostum, are not taken seriously they would not hesitate from establishing a parallel government under the name of ‘East Turkistan’.
QUdratullah Watan, leader of the Junbish party youth wing, said they are not in favor of disintegration, but if the ‘persecution’ continued, they would not hesitate to go for this option. Abdul Majeed Samim, another protestor, said the government should pay attention to the situation or things would get worst.
Hundreds of supporters of the first VP in Takhar, Baghlan and Faryab have protested against the government’s alleged policies of spreading ethnic divisions.
Meanwhile, Shah Hussain Murtazawi, deputy spokesman for the president, has clarified the government would respond to corresponding situation on the right time.
Qaisari, a commander of the local uprising militia and interim police chief for the Qaisar district in Faryab province, was taken into custody by the security forces following a troubled security meeting in Maimana, provincial capital, on Tuesday, and moved to Kabul.
