MAIMANA (SW): An armed conflict in Faryab province between Nizammudin Qaisari, a commander associated with the first Vice President Abdul Rasheed Dosum, and Fatehullah Qaisari, a member of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) rages on.
Jawed Beydar, spokesman for the provincial governor, told Salam Watandar efforts are underway to peacefully resolve the issues between the two men. Nizammudin Qaisari is police chief for the Qaisar district.
In the meantime, Qaisari has blamed Qaisar as well as Rehmatullah Turkistani, former police chief of Jawzjan province, for hiding explosives in his residence. The armed commander associated with the Junbish party has asserted that since the government failed to take action against Fatehullah Qaisar, he took action on his own.
Salam Watandar wished to have the views of Fatehullah Qaisar, but repeated calls were not answered. Meanwhile, Rehmatullah Turkistani has rejected the allegations levelled against him.
