29/11/2017

JAWZJAN (SW): ISIS has demanded the money the government pays annually to the families of the martyrs and the disabled people in Darzabd Jawzjan to be given to ISIS by these families.

Rahmatullah Hashar, former district council of Darzab, told Salam Watandar that the number of these families is close to 200.

Residents of this district also said that ISIS has warned these families by sending a letter that they should pay the money as soon as possible.

These residents said that so far, ISIS has taken away the properties and animals of the families, who refused to obey ISIS’s order, by force.

Ismail, police commander of Darzab district, in a conversation with Salam Watandar, confirmed the looting of property and valuables of Darzab families by ISIS. According to the police commander of Darzab, the situation in this district is extremely worrying.

Mohammad Raza Ghafouri, spokesperson for Jawzjan governor, also said that ISIS has fined the families in this district three times more money they received. He said that if the cleanup operation in this district is not set up soon, the situation will deteriorate further.

We (Salam Watandar) wanted to take the views of the ISIS commanders in Jawzjan on this, but with several efforts, we did not succeed.
