PARWAN (SW): After Daesh’s noticeable presence in the Northern Provinces, the activities of the group has recently started in Parwan province as well which is in the proximity of Kabul.
Mohammad Mujib Shorish, a member of Parwan Provincial Council told Salam Watandar that Daesh forces are currently recruiting people in Parwan province.
According to sources, the government authorities are also aware of the presence of the Daesh group in Parwan.
Fazal-din Ayar, Governor of Parwan also confirmed the presence of Daesh in Parwan but said that these activities are not worrying for the government yet. The Governor informed that plans are underway to destroy the existing of this group in Parwan soon.
However, Mohammad Zaman Mamozai, the Police Chief of Parwan said some thieves have been active in some parts of Parwan under the name of Daesh, though the police had killed their leader some days ago.
A credible source in the Security Forces told Salam Watandar that the Daesh group has been active in the province secretly; even most members of the group do not know each other yet.
Some sources also told Salam Watandar about the close links between the Hezb-e Tahrir and Daesh group in Parwan, while Hezb-e Tahrir is only recruiting fighters for Daesh in the province.
