KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said on Thursday political interference and establishment of check posts in inappropriate places have led to casualties among security forces.
The president said this marking the ‘Martyrs’ week’ at the Arg (presidential palace). The moot underlined the grimness of surging casualties among the security forces and civilians.
Addressing the gathering, the president said political interference and calls for establishment of security check posts at inappropriate places are causing troubles in this regard. He added efforts are underway to consolidate the security forces, and the nation should stand behind the forces.
This comes amid surging casualties among the security forces that has caused unrest among the population.
