KANDAHAR (SW): A group of four infiltrators in the ranks of police, have killed eight of their comrades in Kandahar, a well-placed source informed Salam Watandar.
According to the source, the incident took place in the Karez area of the Mianasheen district last night. The infiltrators have reportedly taken away arms, ammunition and other resources from the 8th security check post with them.
Zia Durrani, the spokesman for the police headquarters in Kandahar, said they have not received any such information, and as soon as tangible information is available it would be shared with the media. The Taliban have also not commented on this matter yet.
Mianasheen is one of the restive districts in Kandahar where the armed Taliban often attack security check posts.
