KABUL (SW) – Analyst fear the growing rift between India and Pakistan might flare-up their proxy war in Afghanistan.
In conversation with Salam Watandar, Jafar Mehdawi, an analyst on political affairs, said it is important for the Afghan government to safeguard neutrality in this ragging conflict between India and Afghanistan, which would save the country from political and security ramifications.
In the views of Ahmad Saeed, a Kabul-based political commentator, Pakistan might orchestrate suicide and other terrorist attacks against Indian interests in Afghanistan. He feared Afghanistan remains vulnerable to the fallouts of intensifying tension between New Delhi and Islamabad.
Analysts believe there are greater chances of the tension between India and Pakistan gradually easing out.
China and the European Union have urged both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint under such volatile situation.
This comes as Pakistan claimed hitting down two Indian jets while India has claimed hitting down one Jet from Pakistan. This tension flared-up after a deadly suicide attack in Indian Administered Kashmir that killed more than 40 security forces. Jaish-e-Mohammad, a Pakistan-based militant group took responsibility for this attack.
