KABUL (SW) – Spokesman for the presidency, Sediq Sediqqi said the incomplete peace process would not be allowed to undermine national interests.
Addressing a presser here, Sediqqi said the Afghan government would thoroughly study all aspects and details of the proposed peace deal before sharing views on it with the U.S. He added the U.S. has provided financial and technical assistance for the presidential polls that would go ahead.
This comes as Zalmay Khalilzad, U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, arrived in Kabul on Sunday to hold talks with Afghan officials over the proposed peace agreement with the U.S.
