HERAT (SW): The Governor of Balkh, Executive Director of Jamiet-e Islami Party, said that his words were misleading and he did not speak about the dismantling the regime yesterday. Mr. Noor, who is in Herat province now, said he will soon disclose the documents showing widespread corruption in the Presidential Palace.

The Governor of Balkh said yesterday at a news conference that “the city will change overnight, and become like Raqqa (a city in Syria), our decision will be in accordance with the people’s determination and it would be better if we make this decision decisively, and based on these points, first is the reform of the regime and (other than that), the collapse of the regime”.

Mr. Noor was worried about the expansion of the Taliban and ISIL, and said that the Taliban are being supported by certain countries to confront ISIL, among which the Afghan people are being sacrificed.

Mr. Noor further said the election commission is not acceptable to any political party in Afghanistan; the commissioners were appointed by certain individuals, ballot boxes are also under the control of these people, and “the outcome of such elections is clear in advance”!!!

Mr. Noor suggested the cancellation of the election commission, reform in the government, alternative program for holding the election, and extensive oversight of the political parties in the election, to the Unity Government; and in the event of ignoring these preconditions, he warns the government that “he will boycott the government and will not recognize it legitimate”.

In regards to Abdul Rashid Dostum, the first vice president, he said that his crime has not yet been established by any court, and yet the government is trying to put him in trouble.

Ismail Khan, a former jihadi commander, also emphasized the reform of the election commission at the meeting, and said that Dr. Abdullah Abdullah failed in two rounds of elections and does not need to try his luck for the third round. This former Jihadi commander criticized the National Unity Govvernment at a meeting with Atta Mohammad Noor in Herat and said that the current challenges and shortcomings of the “imposed” government have endangered the achievements of many years.
