TALUQAN (SW) – The district police chief for Darqad in Takhar province, Brigadier Umer, got killed in an IED blast on Monday.
The IED attached to his car blew up in front of the provincial administration compound in the provincial capital, Taluqan. The security officials have confirmed the incident.
Dr. Muneer, interim head of the public hospital, told Salam Watandar at least ten people, including a woman and a child got injured in this blast.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
