KABUL (AA): A powerful blast in the heart of the capital Kabul has killed a woman and left eight more civilians wounded.
The blast took place in close proximity to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) during the evening rush hour. Sediq Sediqqi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) placed on the roadside. He confirmed one woman died on the spot while at least eight others, all civilians, got injured.
Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to the militants' Aimaq news agency, a bus carrying security forces was its target.
