KABUL (SW) – The High Peace Council has urged the international community to expedite efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
Ghafoor Ahmad Jawed, HPC spokesman, told Salam Watandar a two-day conference in this connection concluded in the Belgian capital, Brussels on Wednesday. He said this conference was organized by EU Peace Institute.
According to the spokesman, the HPC chairman, Mohammad Karim Khalili, also attended this conference, and urged the international community to coordinate and expedite efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
This comes as a number of foreign officials have met the Taliban leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha recently.
