HERAT CITY (SW): The leader of the Hezb-i-Islami party, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar criticizing the lack of control of government over the country, in the presence of his supporters on Tuesday in Herat said that parallel government institutions are functioning in provinces, which will put the country in a crisis.
Addressing the crowd of supporters and local government officials in the Blue Mosque of the province justified that he is ready to forgive his political rivals.
According to him, there are people who want to weaken the government and should avoid doing so.
He urged opposition groups and politicians who wish to create an interim government to wait till next elections and win power by participating in the elections.
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar also criticizing the surge of American troops in Afghanistan said that U.S. cannot put an end to Afghanistan’s conflict by increasing footprint in the country.
The Hezb-i-Islami leader in a part of his speech criticized the interventions of the neighboring countries and warned that if the war in Afghanistan is not restrained, the neighboring countries will also be involved.
His visit to Herat province faced reactions of the citizens of the province as well.
