KABUL (SW): Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, leader of Hezb-i-Islami meeting with elders of Paktia province on Tuesday here in Kabul, said supporting government does not mean participating in it.
Addressing the elders of Paktia, Hekmatyar, said that supporting the government does not mean to participate in the current regime, but the support relates to the future of the people and the country. “Hezb-i-Islami does not have a better option than the current government. Any reform and change should be made politically and peacefully”, added Hekmatyar.
The leader of Hezb-i-Islami showing concern over the insecurity said the government is unable to provide security to the people. He also insisted on ending war in the country and added that war is sprawled by foreigners in the country while several circles are trying to impede the peace process in order to create a challenge to the current government.
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar also suggested that talks should take place with the leaders of other political parties in order to end the war in the country.
