Gulpari: After I graduated from high school I began teaching in a local English Training Center. The center belonged to a son of a well-known commander. One day he told me to change my shift to early morning because it was too crowded in the afternoons. The next day at around 6:00 am I went to the center. As I got there I noticed that there was no one else but him. Worried, I asked him about other students and teachers. He didn’t answer my question but instead asked me to sleep with him. I was total scared. He rushed to the door and locked it and approached me. I screamed with fear but he covered my mouth with his hand and I got unconscious.
As soon as I regained my conscious, I found my family members circled around me. The devil teacher had already escaped.
After that shocking incident, my family didn’t allow me to work outside the house anymore.
Gulalai: I was a newly university graduate. To find a job, I went to a ministry with a few friends of mine. I filled the application form and wrote down my phone number. As I got out of the ministry an anonymous man called me and said that “if you make friendship with me I will provide you all questions related to the exam, but you have to make promise that you wouldn’t disclose the story to your friends”. I ignored him and I was totally shocked that the same person called one of my friends asking her the same thing. She also rejected him but moments later he called another friend of mine.
We look at each other with surprise. “How weird the world has become!” we said in unison.
Shahnaz: After graduation, I wished to be a lecture at any state universities. I had completed all the required documents and was voluntarily teaching for two years. But my application was suspended in the Directorate of University and no one would process it. One day I asked one of my colleagues “Why my application is suspended and is not processed?” She said “You haven’t been kind enough to the officials”, she answered. “What do you mean?” I asked her again. In response she said that she has been kind to everyone that was why she was appointed there. “You have to make friendship with them”, she recommended me. In response I said that I would prefer staying home rather than being mean.
