Hajj pilgrims to embark on the holy journey in weeks’ time

KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs (MoHRA) has taken measures to guarantee smooth and steady journey of the Hajj pilgrims, official told SW.

The pilgrims are scheduled to embark on the holy journey from August 28th onwards.  

Mehrab Danish, Director Hajj Affairs at the MoHRA told SW the Ministry has taken necessary measures to transfer the pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in line with the proper schedule.

He further said to ensure the pilgrim’s health and safety during the journey, a team of doctors would accompany the pilgrims.

Chief Executive Officer of Ariana Airline Company, Mohammad Omar Mastoor said in this regards that the Hajj flights would fly from the capital Kabul and Herat province.

This year, some 24000 pilgrims have got the green signal from the MoHRA. Many more have kept on the waiting list as the Saudi government has reduced quota for many countries of the world owing to the ongoing development work at the holy site in Mecca.
