Graffiti on walls in Kabul for peace, harmony

KABUL (SW): Promoting the message of peace, harmony and justice, a group of young girls in Kabul on Sunday launched graffiti campaign in the capital city.

The girls informed Salam Watandar they would paint slogans and graffiti on selected spots in the city to promote harmony and love, and discourage corruption and violence against women.

Beheshteh Abidi, a member of the group, said one of their objectives is to hold the government responsible where it has committed negligence in providing services to the public. She stressed this public way of highlighting issues and promoting harmony is very effective.

Sohela Ahmadi, another member of the group, said on the occasion that they have taken on this challenge to promote cleanliness and peace in the city. She said this campaign would also beautify the face of the city marred by concrete walls erected all over for security purposes.

The girls said their graffiti has a positive perspective, and resonates messages of compassion to all citizens.
