KABUL (SW): Sadiqullaha Tawhidi, chairperson of the Nai-Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan has asked the Afghan government to pledge support for press freedom and democracy at the NATO’s Warsaw Summit.
The chairperson to Nai-Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan asked NATO members to condition their support for Afghanistan with support for democracy, access to information, press freedom, electoral reforms and countering corruption.
In Warsaw Summit, Tawhidi stated, the outcome of NATO’s London Summit should be reviewed and if the Afghan government has failed to meet the pledges made then, it should be compelled to comply with the promises for reform.
The NATO would decide its future strategy for Afghanistan at the Warsaw Summit and the Afghan government is set to present a strong case to seek sustainable support for the war-torn country.
