SAR-E POL (SW): Taj Mohammad Sar-e-poli, one of the famous vocalists of Afghanistan, died of heart disease at the age of 70 at a hospital in Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
He was born in the year 1948 in the Surkhak village of Sar-e Pol. At the young age, he learned music after graduating from school.
Taj Mohammad Sar-e-poli had been singing for 50 years and sang the famous songs of “Golnar Jan”, “Afghanistan, Afghanistan”, and “Ata Jan” which had huge fans in Afghanistan.
‘His death is a great loss for Afghanistan’s music’, Artists and aesthetes of Jawzjan and Sar-e Pol said in a statement.
