GHOR (SW): Ghor residents expressed their concern over lack of ambulances and lack of necessary health facilities in the hospitals in Ghor province. A number of these residents told Salam Watandar that they have to transfer their patients to the hospitals through rented cars or most often by donkeys.
According to these residents, in addition to the lack of ambulances, the distance to the health centers and due to lack of proper roads, in most cases, their patients have died before reaching to the hospitals to receive medical help.
Abdul Qadir Salimi and Sayed Rahman Rahmani, two of the residents called on the government to address these problems and prevent people from dying.
They said, although they have already complained to the authorities and have requested them to solve their problems, but to no avail.
Arif Lalzad, head physician at the Ghor Provincial Hospital also told Salam Watandar that Ghor province has only 3 ambulances with minimal medical facilities available to them; therefore, the health administration in Ghor province cannot satisfy the needs of the public.
However, the head of the Public Health Directorate in Ghor, Juma Gul Yaqubi informed that in the next year, 8 more ambulances will be purchased to solve the problems of the residents.
