KABUL (SW): Dawa Khan Minapal, the Presidential Palace deputy spokesman, informed that President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will depart on Sunday to New York to attend the United National General Assembly.
President Ghani will leave from Turkmenistan where he attended the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) 2017 opening ceremony.
According to Presidential Palace deputy spokesman, President Ghani will talk on world efforts on fighting terrorism and stability and progress in Afghanistan in his addressing the Assembly. He added that the President will urge UN to take serious steps against countries that support terrorists and their hideouts.
Salahuddin Rabbani, the acting minister of Foreign Affairs and high-ranking government officials will accompany President Ghani on this trip.
