KABUL (SW) – The vice president, Gen. Abdul Rasheed Dostum, on Saturday landed in Kabul upon his arrival from Turkey.
Second vice president, Mohammad Sarwar Danish, and a number of other officials and politicians and supporters welcomed Gen. Dostum at the airport. Among them included Mohammad Mohaqiq, Atta Mohammad Noor and others.
Gen. Dostum has returned home after spending some 14 months in Turkey. This comes as a number of his supporters closed down a number of public offices in many provinces during protests demanding his return.
There was a blast killing 11 people and wounding 14 people at the airport minutes after Gen. Dostum’s convoy left the airport.
