KABUL (SW) – Amid relative peace on fourth day of reduction in violence, four soldiers got injured in a roadside bomb planted by the Taliban.
The incident took place in Zabul province. Spokesman for the provincial governor, Gul Islam Sayal, said a roadside bomb injured four soldiers in the Arghandaab district on Tuesday morning. He added the bomb was planted by the Taliban.
Salam Watandar correspondents across the country reported no other significant case of violence on fourth day of the RIV week.
A day earlier, on the third day of reduction in violence week, the Taliban insurgents killed at least nine people, officials confirmed on Monday.
The interior ministry spokesman, Nusrat Rahimi, said these attacks were staged in Farah, Ghazni, Zabul, Ghazni and Blakh provinces.
Zabihullah Mujahed, spokesman for the Taliban, has clarified that the reduction in violence does not mean a complete ceasefire.
