KABUL (SW): The flamboyant and slightly overweight Shahzab Mohammadi impressed everyone as he managed to lose more than 4 kilo weight in the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) training camp.
Under the supervision of South African trainer Douglas Jason, a number of national cricket team players were given extensive physical training in a bid to bring them in shape for upcoming encounters. “On average, players have lost over 2kg of weight, which is to be expected (1kg per week), However as we have also done some weight training there may be changes in Body Composition (Skin-folds (fat) which is not represented in the body weight changes”, ACB said after the two-week long session.
“So far I am happy with the progress of the players in the camp, however for some this is just a start and further hard work will be required.” said, Jason Douglas, Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach.
