TALOQAN (SW): Fire engulfs wood stocks in a market on Friday later afternoon in Talogan city of Takhar province.
Witnesses have said at least 8 markets have burned down. The fire is believed to have started in a public bathhouse which has engulfed other parts of the city. According to the witnesses, the fire is moving faster and other parts of the market are in danger.
Qudratullah Walidi, a businessman, said that his goods worth 1.5 million dollars were in the same market.
The provincial firefighters have arrived at the scene of the incident, but the fire is spreading making it harder for the firefighters to contain it.
