KABUL (SW) – Final results of the presidential polls are likely to be further delayed, the Independent Election Complaint Commission said on Saturday.
Head of the IECC secretariat, Chaman Shah Etemadi, told journalists that meddling and glitches have hindered operations. Fresh statistics suggest more than 2500 polling stations in 21 provinces would see a vote recount.
He added the recount would commence in coming two to three days.
According to reports, the recount was supposed to begin today, however, the Independent Election commission asked the IECC for clarification in this connection causing the delay.
